Lampard to Inter Milan and other news
Here is a quick look at some of todays main news stories in the football world.
Lampard to Inter Milan
It is reported today that Frank Lampard will join Inter Milan after Chelsea’s Champions League final against Manchester United. I wouldn’t blame him if he does, and he should go with the best wishes of all English football fans.
Champions League final
Manchester United’s Carlos Tevez has said that Chelsea will be under more pressure than Manchester United on Wednesday evening. Not sure how he works that one out, but I guess it is yet another attempt at amateur mind games.
Ronaldo not for Real Madrid
Real Madrid manager Berndt Schuster has said that despite Cristiano Ronaldo saying that he might join the club, he has no intention of making a move for the player this summer. Someone’s lying! We’ll have to wait to find out who it is!
Ronaldinho on the move
Barcelona President Joan Laporta has made it clear that Ronaldinho is free to leave the club. The news will alert Milan and Inter in Italy and Manchester City in England, amongst others. He is still agreat player despite having an indifferent season. I think he would fit in nicely at Watford! Come on, let’s start that rumour.
Trezeguet left out by France
France have left David Trezeguet out of their provisional thirty-man squad for Euro 2008. He scored twenty times for Juventus this season and is the third top scorer of all time for France. He will be bitterly disappointed to miss out and will wonder if it is on merit, or something more personal.
